NS85NE 28 8686 5687.

The ruins of Blackhall Cottage are situated 550 SW of Blackhall steading (NS85NE 29). It measures 15.3m NNW-SSE by 5.9m transversely, stands up to 2m in height, and comprises two compartments. The building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Lanarkshire, 1864, sheet xiii) and was still roofed at the date of survey for the 1921 edition (sheet xiii).
