A field system comprising turf banked enclosures within an area of rig and furrow is situated on the saddle to the SW of Chatto Craig and lies immediately to the E of a linear earthwork (NT71NE 39). It measures about 350m from NE to SW by 130m transversely within turf banks. The NW extent of the field system is defined by a row of three rectangular enclosures measuring overall about 320m from NE to SW by 60m transversely. The field system overlies an area of broad curvilinear rig, defined by shallow grooves and covering an area of about 8ha in total.

For the earthwork at the SW end of the field system see NT71NE 39.
