Activities

Field Visit (21 February 1994)

This C-shaped burnt mound, partly covered in gorse, is situated on the edge of a knoll beside an unnamed burn. It measures 10m from NE to SW by 5.5m transversely and 0.6m in height, opening out towards the burn on the SE. Lifting a sod revealed cracked, reddened stone set in a matrix of black soil.
