This building, which is situated on the wooded south-east flank of Cnoc Chalmac, some 300m north-west of the abandoned farmstead of Rineten, is depicted unroofed on both the 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map, published in 1869, and the modern 1:10000 map (1971).

Rineten. Air photography (AAS/93/02/G3/14, flown 1 February 1993) has recorded the footings of longhouses on a moderate SE-facing slope in an area of rough grazing at an altitude of 398m OD.
