Activities

Standing Building Recording (16 November 2010)

Cameron Archaeology carried out a standing building survey at Baldovan House, Dundee, DD3 0PD. The initial surveying took place on 16 November 2010. Only Buildings 2 and 3 were visible and only Building 2 accessible. Access to the interior of the building was limited and most internal walls were not recorded in any detail. The Baldovan House (Building 1) had been completely demolished and the demolition material piled on top of the foundations allowing no recording prior to clearing the rubble. The walls of the stable building survive to 2m high and this building was recorded prior to proposed demolition. This report presents the results of the standing building survey only. In 2011 Kirkwood Homes decided not to redevelop the site.
