Field Visit (3 December 1992)

NH63SE 78 6603 3274.

In flat pasture to the E of Dunlichity farmhouse, on the N side of a meandering burn, there is a C-shaped burnt mound. It measures 12.2m from NE-SW by 7.3m transversely, and is 0.7m high. The trough opens to the NW, towards a dried-up stream bed. There are other mounds to the N and NE, which may also be burnt mounds, although this could not be confirmed.
