Skellater House, c.1690/1700. A crisply harled T-plan laird's house with a three-window centre and stone-gabled dormers of 1845 above, flanked by gabled advanced wings. The centre doorway is moulded with an oval window and armorial panel, dated 1770, above. Inside, good central wooden staircase with double-arched treatment at ground floor.
Severe yet stylish, restored 1975-6.

NJ31SW 6.01 3138 1080 Mains of Skellater
Skellater House is a T-plan laird's house of about 1690/1700 with later alterations, which was restored in 1975-6. Above the central doorway, on the SE is an oval window, and an armorial plate dated 1770. The dormer window pediments are dated to 1845.
