Archaeology Notes

ND02SE 12 0810 2290.

ND 0810 2290. A large mound of bare stones, 15.0m in diameter and about 2.0m high. The cairn is mutilated by several small excavations and a passage has been made into it on the S side to form a shooting butt. No chamber or cist is visible, but the cairn is undoubtedly sepulchral.

Visited by OS (W D J) 14 June 1960.
