Activities

Field Visit (20 June 1991)

NJ05SE 11 0826 5203.

The ruins of Tomnamain comprise little more than a gabled cottage and an outbuilding to the SW. Closer inspection reveals that they originally formed part of an L-shaped range, which is shown roofed on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire, 1874, Sheet xvi). The remains of a horse-gang back on to the SW wing of the range.

Visited by RCAHMS (SPH) 20 June 1991.
