Activities

Field Visit (1 May 1990)

NJ44SW 31.02 4447 4227.

The westerly farmstead comprises the ruins of four buildings, all still standing to gable height. The buildings are all shown roofed on the second edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1902, xxv NW). At least two of the buildings had been considerably extended by this date, but the first edition map (Aberdeenshire 1874, xxv) also shows a horse-gang, which is still visible on the SE side of the farmstead along with a cluster of stack-bases.

Name Book, Aberdeenshire, No. 37, p. 18.

Visited by RCAHMS (SH) 1 May 1990.
