Air photography (RCAHMSAP 1988) has recorded the cropmarks of a narrow rectangular enclosure in the NW corner of a field some 500m SE of Muircambus farm. It measures at least 25m from NE to SW by 6m transversely over a narrow ditch and has a square terminal on the NE. It is plotted as a possible mortuary enclosure on a distribution map of Neolithic monuments across southern Scotland (RCAHMS 1994 and 1997).
