On a gentle S-facing slope above the steep N side of Elsie Cleugh Burn are two turf sheepfolds.
One sheepfold is 13m N/S x 11m within a turf bank 1.5-2m thick and up to 0.4m high on E and W sides. On the S side the bank is 0.1m high and on the N side where it is slightly scooped the bank is 0.2m high externally and 0.4m internally. A halo about 2.5-3m wide and 0.1-0.2m deep is visible on the E, N and W sides. There is no evidence of an entrance. Centre to centre 28m to the ESE is a second turf sheepfold 11m in diameter within a turf bank 1.5-2m thick and up to 0.4m high except on the N side where it is slightly scooped and 0.2m high externally and 0.4m internally. A halo about 2.5-3m wide and 0.1-0.2m deep is visible on the E, N and W sides.
