A sharp conical mound about 7 ft high, no ditch, undoubtedly artificial.

Information from O G S Crawford, 29 May 1934.

As described by Crawford. No further information could be found by local enquiries.

Re-surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (RD), 23 October 1967.

(Location cited as NY c. 199 745). This site has been destroyed without record by the construction of the A74 trunk road. It is considered as a cairn or similar monument on the basis of local tradition and its place-name.
