Isle Tower a 16th century building, measures 22 feet 3 inches long by 19 feet 3 inches wide overall. A modern mansion is attached to the south wall of the tower and to the west there extends a range of out-buildings bearing the date, '1700' on the south wall.

The tower is inhabited and in excellent repair.

RCAHMS 1920, visited 1912

The original building is believed to have been erected in 1414. The land was granted to the Ferguson's by King Robert the Bruce.
