NX 766 316. Carlingwark - Univallate elliptical enclosure approximately 60m in diameter. Visible on aerial photographs taken by G D B Jones. Copies of these photographs are lodged in Dumfries Museum.

There are no visible remains of this enclosure, whose site occupies part of the flattish summit of a low ridge overlooking the E shore of Carlinqwark Loch. The enclosure was under pasture on the date of visit.
