Archaeology Notes

NX46SW 19 c. 41 61

A perforated pebble, measuring 3 3/8 by 3 ins, and an oramented claystone whorl, 1 3/8 ins in diameter, both from Penninghame were donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) by Sir H E Maxwell in 1889 (Accession nos AO 62 and BE 188 respectively).
