(NX 3422 7911) White Cairn (NR).

OS 6" map (1957)

The White Cairn is 50 feet in diameter and 7 ft high, slightly robbed on the south. There is a small circular excavation about 2 feet deep in the top but there is no evidence of a cist or chamber.

RCAHMS 1914, visited 1911; S Piggott and T G E Powell 1951

NX 3422 7910 White Cairn survives as a partly turf-covered stony mound, 18.0m in diameter and 2.0m high. Around its base are intermittment traces of a kerb.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.
