OS 6" map (1957)

A cairn, about 50' in diameter, reduced to about 3' high at the circumference and less in the centre. No cist is exposed.

RCAHMS 1912

Generally as described by RCAHMS. No trace of a kerb is evident. Resurveyed at 1:2500.

NX 1900 6433 A hollowed out grass-covered cairn 17.0m in diameter and 1.5m high.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.

Visited by OS (BS) 6 May 1976

This cairn is situated 550m SE of Hardcroft farmhouse and lies on the top of a knoll 60m S of Hardcroft/Balneil march dyke. The mound is 16m in diameter and, although robbed for stone, it still stands to a height of 1m.

RCAHMS 1987, visited (SH) 19 March 1986.
