This is a hut circle situated on the summit of a ridge. It measures 8.3m diameter internally and has an entrance in the SE; the wall has an inner face of contiguous slabs. Several peat-covered mounds nearby indicate associated field clearance, as may also an outlying group of mounds to the west (NC70SW 19).

Revised at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (J M) 19 March 1981.

This hut-circle was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Pittentrail hill Grazings, Rogart. One of the small cairns associated with the hut-circle also lies within the area of the application.
