Archaeology Notes

NT85NE 26 c. 869 560.

A tower, reported to have been built by an Earl of Dunbar, and 'conveniently situated for observation' stood hard by Chirside churchyard (NT 869 560). It was demolished 'not so long ago'.

There is no evidence of a tower here.
