OS 6" map, Roxburghshire, (1923).
This linear earthwork, to all appearance considerably later than NT81NE 31, which is in close proximity, starts near the W corner of the wood above Cocklawfoot house, and, after running SE for a quarter of a mile, turns NE for rather more than that distance and ends in a natural fissure above the Kingseat Burn. Where best preserved, it consists of a bank about 13' thick at the base and 3' high, with a ditch up to 4' wide on its upper side. It is clearly a land boundary, and within it can be traced field divisions and the foundations of a farmstead of no great age.
