Oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1977, 1978 and 1979) has revealed the cropmarks of the S and SE side of a square or rectangular enclosure 450m ENE of Thurston farmsteading. The visible part of this enclosure measures about 30m E-W by 20m transversely. Recent aerial photography (RCAHMS 1984, 1985) has recorded the construction of a road at this location, and the enclosure is no longer visible. The cropmarks of an enclosure, linear cropmarks, a ring ditch and a possible enclosure have been recorded in the surrounding area (NT77SW 23, NT77SW 54, NT77SW 71 ).
