Castle Knowe: A small knowe which rises at nearly the same angle all round. It appears artificial, but is in fact natural.

Name Book 1857.

There is a vegetation mark of a possible oval enclosure around the summit of the Knowe visible on large scale vertical air photograph (OS 71/050/261, flown 1971). The possible enclosure measures about 35m from NNE to SSW by 20m transversely.
