Peel at Hunthill, one of the ancient scars of the Rutherfurds a place of great strength. Destroyed during the last century.

NSA 1845.

Hunthill House was destroyed by an English army in 1571.

G Douglas 1899.

Lord Strathenden, owner and tenant at Hunthill believes that the present house stands on the site of the Peel but has no evidence to corroborate this.
