OS 25" map (1959)

This standing stone, on the summit of a ridge, is nearly square on plan, narrowing slightly towards the top. It is 5' high and 11'6" in basal girth.

RCAHMS 1929, visited 1914.

A massive upright standing stone, situated in a hedge-row. It measures 0.8m by 0.5m by 1.3m high and has a few, probably natural, deep incisions on it.

Standing Stone, near Wright's Houses.

On the summit of the ridge some 80 yards south-east of the cross-roads below Wright's Houses, in the line of the hedge on the eastern side of the road from Borthwick, is a standing stone nearly square on plan and contracting slightly towards the top. It measures 5 feet in height on the side next the field, and 11 feet 6 inches in girth round the base.

This stone stands in a hedgerow on the summit of a ridge 250m SE of Wright's Houses; it measures 0.8m by 0.6m at the base and 1.3m in height.
