Archaeology Notes

NT27SE 280 257 736

Some carved stones removed from elsewhere have been let into the modern building to the N of NT27SE 279. These include a large panel, uncarved but with scalloped edges, which came from Warriston's Close, and five skew-pots of unknown provenence. One seems to bear the initial W, another has a merchant's mark, while the other three exhibit coats of arms.

RCAHMS 1951.
