OS 6" map (1909)

Tower, Woodhouse Hill (site). No remains of this tower survive. Before 1522, when it was acquired by David Hoppringle of Smailholm, the property belinged to the family of Inglis of Manor, and at the end of the 16th century it passed to the Burnets of Barns. During the 17th and 18th centuries, it was held in part by the Burnets and in part by the Naesmyths of Posso.
