NT23NE 30.01 28187 38633

(NT 2818 3863) This late 17th. century dovecot stands less than 100 yds NW of the site of Kailyie mansion house, (which was built in 1803 and demolished in 1958). It is rectangular on plan, measuring 16'6" by 12' 2" over 2' thick walls. The lintel above the entrance doorway, in the centre of the S wall is dated 1698. The gables are crow-stepped, while above the crow-steps, the wall head is finished with a plain coping upon which there stands three ornamental ball-finials.
