(NT 1102 8223) Dovecot (NAT)

(Undated) OS map.

A fine 16th century dovecot stands on the mainland north of the castle (NT18SW 20). It is square on plan measuring 20 feet externally and is built of rubble. The roof is a barrel vault covered with flagstones.


The dovecot at Rosyth is oblong in plan.
