Archaeology Notes

NC50NE 85 58 06.

An axe of grey-green stone 3 ins long and 1.8 ins across the cutting edge, (possibly from Langdale, Westmorland) was found in trenching at Lairg, (NC 58 06) by Mr Alexander, the ground officer. It is in Dunrobin Museum, possibly received in 1871. (Accession no. 1871.1.)
