Archaeology Notes

NC50NE 51 58 06.

On the road between Lairg (NC 58 06) and Altnaharra (NC 56 35), a short way beyond Lairg, on the right hand, there is a small circle of high stones 10 or 12 feet in diameter.

J Horsburgh 1870.

There is no trace and no local knowledge of this alleged stone circle in an area now largely afforested.

Visited by OS (N K B) 30 August 1976.
