Archaeology Notes

NT11NW 2 1065 1803.

(NT 1065 1803) The site of Fruid Castle, which is now marked by some grassy mounds and a few old trees, is said to be near the house at Fruid. The Castle is thought to have been built before Oliver Castle (NT02NE 1 ), which was erected by the Frasers who also built Fruid - in the latter part of the twelfth century.
