Archaeology Notes

NT05NE 4 0826 5862.

In 1609, the lands of Easter Colzium, with tower and fortalice, are mentioned in records. It is impossible, however, that the present house (at NT 0826 5862) should be of that age, nor can it in any sense be described as a tower of fortress. It must therefore be supposed that the modern building occupies the site of an older, fortified erection.
