Archaeology Notes

NT04SE 32 0711 4325.

These field boundaries have been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1978, 2000) lying on the SW flank of a low hill about 600m S of Eastyetts. The boundaries describe an L-shape that may have been two sides of a field with possible boundaries adjacent. Two macular cropmarks, one circular the other oblong, lie to the S and further pits and indeterminate cropmarks lie immediately to the NW and NE.

Information from RCAHMS (KMM) 3 August 2004

Amorphous macular cropmarking (centred on NT 0719 4326, RCAHMSAP 2000) may relate to a plantation depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Peebleshire 1864, sheet XI).

Information from RCAHMS (ACM) 5 May 2008
