NS 827 984: An enclosure is situated at 800' OD, close to the right bank of the burn which runs down the NW flank of Dumyat into the W end of the Lossburn Reservoir. D-shaped on plan, it lies on a sloping shelf between the burn and a sheer rock face 20' in height, and is formed by an arc of ruinous wall springing from the base of the rock. The opposite ends of the wall join the rock at points 55' apart, and the greatest width is 60' E-W. The remains of the wall consist of a few large, earthfast boulders protruding from a grass-grown stony mound, with a gap in the W arc which probably represents the entrance. The interior is uneven and featureless except for a 30' long line of rubble which runs W from a point on the rock face 27' S of the N end of the wall. The date and purpose of this structure are unknown (c/f NS69SE 13).

NS 8277 9834. An undatable enclosure as described. Its form of construction, earthfast boulders, is not typical of a sheepfold and there are no other features in the area with which it can be associated.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
