Archaeology Notes

NS89NE 5 8848 9710.

A decorated spindle whorl from Croftshaw, Alva, was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) by W Adam, Alva (Accession no: BE 550).

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1956

Mr Adam informed me that this whorll was found sometime in 1954, when houses were being built at Croftshaw at approximately NS 8848 9710.
