Archaeology Notes

NS80NW 3 8202 0727.

The residence attachd to the property of Dalpeddar (NS 817 073) was a tower to which, it seems, a chapel was attached.

W Wilson 1904

(NS 8202 0727) Chapel Yard is marked by a row of ash trees. Coffin handles are said to have been found here when ploughing, and this is thought to be the site of an ancient baronial burial ground.

Name Book 1856

At the above spot there is a row of trees but no surface indications of a building.

Visited by OS (BS) 4 April 1978
