Eliock (SDD List 1966) Elliock House, listed by Tranter as "much altered" is a 17th century mansion, H-shaped on plan, incorporating earlier work in the northern of two parallel wings. This contains a vaulted chamber with shot-holes to N and S. A circular tower, containing the wheel-staircase and entrance, projecting W from the central wing, is dated 1658. The NE wing appears derelict; ? fire damage.

Eliock (nameboard) is as described. It is occupied and apart from the damaged north-east wing, it is in a good condition.

Project (March 2013 - September 2013)

A project to characterise the quantity and quality of the Scottish resource of known surviving remains of the First World War. Carried out in partnership between Historic Scotland and RCAHMS.
