'Below the cairn (NS59SE 14), to SE, is a scooped oval with upcast bank surrounding, overall 35 by 22m, and an irregular cairn 10 by 7m.'

The bank described by Welsh (1979) is nothing more than spoil from an adjacent quarry, a number of which are visible in the vicinity, and his cairn (NS 56048 50590) is a heap of field cleared stones.
