The White Cairn of Carnannock (NSA 1845), the turf-covered remains of a cairn, 21m in diameter and 05m high, surrounded by a wet ditch circa 3m wide. Human remains were found when the cairn was robbed to build stone dykes, (Name Book 1857) possibly including the collapsed sheep ree which overlies the site.

NS 5080 0078 This cairn is as described in the previous field report except that it measures 20.0m EW by 18.0m and has a modern marker cairn built upon it.
