NB43SW 7 c. 44 32

Perforated stone implement 'found 4ft down in peat at Sandwick, one mile east of Stornoway.' The implement is an irregular oval, 8 3/4 ins long. 4 9/16 ins broad, and 1 11/16 ins thick, and the perforation, countersunk from each

side, is 15/16 ins diameter and placed 2 1/4 ins from one end.

Given to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) by R Graham, 13 Northfield Terrace, Edinburgh. Accession number AO 132.
