A tower is supposed to have stood a little N of Tower farmyard. Its site was pointed out by Mr J Templeton, who states that he found the stone foundations of a circular building at or about this spot when working the field some years ago. He also cut down several large trees which stood nearby. No information could be obtained regarding the history of this tower.

The present tenant of Tower Farm has no knowledge of the nature of this tower, of which no trace remains. No further information was obtained during field investigation.

The siting falls on a low and natural rise in a pasture field. There are no surface indications of disturbance, and further enquiry at Tower farm proved negative.
