OS 6" map, Argyllshire, 2nd ed., (1900)

A cairn measuring 51' N-S and 60' E-W and about 7' high.

In the centre is a large hole about 5' deep measuring 6' across the top and 4' across the bottom. The stones in the hole lie very loose and are smaller than those outside.

Activities

Field Visit (November 1986)

Situated on the summit of Creag Evanachan (195m OD), a position commanding extensive views in all directions, this cairn measures about 18m and 2m in height; a hollow at the centre suggests that it has been subjected to treasure-hunting.
