Field Visit (18 September 1942)
This site was included within the RCAHMS Emergency Survey (1942-3), an unpublished rescue project. Field Visit (April 1987)
These three stones form a linear setting at the edge of a field 800m SW of Inveryne. Stone 'A', the farthest NE, is a straight-sided slab with an irregularly rounded top; it measures 0.6m by 0.15m at the base and 0.75m in height. The central stone, 'B', has a straight NE side, a rounded SW side and a gently rounded top; it measures 1.1m by 0.2m at the base and 0.95m in height. A depression (70mm by 60mm and 20mm deep) at the centre of the SE face is natural. Stone 'C', to the SW, has slanting sides and a jagged top; it measures 0.8m by 0.35m at the base and 1.05m in height.

Measured Survey (April 1987)
RCAHMS surveyed Inveryne standing stones on April 1997 with plane-table and alidade producing a plan at a scale of 1:100. The plan of the standing stones was redrawn in ink and published at a scale of 1:250 (RCAHMS 1988a, 134).
