Activities

Field Visit (3 October 1977)

NR 9064 3215. An oval mound of stones was found on level moorland at the position indicated but its overall measurement is 11.0m E-W by 6.5m N-S and it is 1.2m high. The cairn is between two hut circles (NR93SW 14A

& 50) at about 35.0m equi-distance, but its function is not obvious although it is possibly a clearance mound.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.

Visited by OS (J R L) 3 October 1977.
