Finds from the Poltalloch estate, which are in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS], include a beaker (HPO 13); sherds of 3 beakers (HPO 15-17); a food vessel (HPO 14), a battleaxe (HPO 26), flints (HPO 21-5) and a large Tievebullaigh axe (L.1962.1). The estate formerly extended from Loch Awe to Loch Sween, and from Loch Craignish to Knockalva.

NMS HPO 26 is a battle-axe of Intermediate-Developed form which has been petrologically identified as porphyritic olivine basalt.
