Carn Mor: A large cairn in marshy ground. No clear structure, a duck-shooting hide has been built out of cairn material - and cist?
M Campbell and M Sandeman 1964.
Surrounded by marsh, and heavily overgrown with scrub is a circular pile of stones measuring c.21.0m in diameter and 1.0m high. It has a distinctive edge on the N, but has been disturbed on the S. No cist is visible . Although this probably is a cairn its situation is also suggestive of a crannog, and a stony projection on the W side could represent a jetty. The present condition of the site precludes positive identification. Cairn visible on air photograph 72/084 115.
