(NR 7802 5479) Standing Stone (NAT)

OS 6" map, (1924)

This standing stone measures 1.9m in height and 0.8m x 0.4m at base, the longer axis aligned ENE-WSW. The top rises to a rounded peak at its SW end. Some initials have recently been carved on its SE face.

RCAHMS 1971, visited 1963.

As described by RCAHMS. It is possible that it was only a drove route marker.

Surveyed at 1:10,000.

Visited by OS (D W R) 13 August 1973.
