Archaeology Notes

NR49NW 26.3

Between the deserted buildings of Riasg Buidhe (centred NR 406 955) and the shore field walking indicated several acres of rig-and-furrow. The S area consisted of rigs running E-W down the slope to the shore. These were joined by traces of rigs on their N, running N-S. This tends to confirm a normal pattern of rig-and-furrow running with the drainage.

E Stewart 1989.
