Archaeology Notes

HZ27SW 119 2082 7129.

Raised platform c.25 x 18m with long axis approximately E-W supporting site HZ27SW 118.

Maximum height c.0.5m. Well-defined E perimeter (wall foundation?). Number of small stones protruding through turf, particularly at E. Probably structural.

One unroofed structure which may be a planticrub is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Orkney and Shetland (Shetland) 1881, sheet lxix), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
